The Sent Ones

Romans 10:15 King James Version (KJV) "15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? As it is written, how beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!"

During prayer one morning, I heard this scripture and immediately saw a vision of an ingrown toenail. The Spirit began sharing that this was happening within the body of Christ. We are supposed to be a witness to a dying world but our feet (witness) are being infected by offense.

Offend" "to strike against," "to displease" "to make angry," "to do harm to," "to affront," in Scripture, "to cause to sin it is "to sin," "to cause anger,"

In Scripture we have the special significance of a stumbling block, or snare

An ingrown toenail is painful, sometimes you can barely touch it. If we as Christians cannot be touched, our witness will be affected. I then thought about the time when Jesus washed the disciples feet. I am almost positive that if He saw any disorder while washing their feet, He would have healed them. So I assure you today that whatever offence has occurred in your life, He is willing to heal you if you would only allow him to.

The bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 6:3 "Giving no offence in any thing that the ministry be not blamed." We have the ministry of reconciliation so why don’t we just take a moment to do a self-evaluation so our ministry will not be blamed.

Here are a few things to consider in our evaluation.

Eye disorder - Make a covenant (agreement) with your eyes concerning what you look upon and your motive for doing it. Job 31:1 I made a covenant with mine eyes; why then should I think upon a maid?
Hand disorder - lift up Holy hands 1 Timothy 2:8 8 I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting.
Body, soul and spirit - 1 Thessalonians 5:23 (KJV)23 And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
